Amalgams are exponentially rare, unnatural undead beings made when someone infuses
a body with a resurrection sigil to revive them from the dead.

Unfortunately amalgams have no capacity for digestion, so they need to cannibalize
and steal the energy and life force from other sources to stay alive.  

Every amalgam has their own signature diet, which usually consists of one specific element,
compound, mineral or object. The first thing they consume after resurrection is what determines their diet for the remainder of their existence. It also determines the powers they develop as a result, and
may even drastically alter their physical appearance over time.

They have unpredictable behavior, as they are functionally undead and do not hold the
same values as that of the living.

There has been little valid proof of their existence and only exist in frantic anecdotes
from space rangers who believe to have encountered them. But the professional consensus is that
the visions of these creatures may very well just be social hysteria.
