[ A N A T O M Y ]
Almost all of an Edwion's body processes are carried out on a cellular level, so their chest cavity is entirely hollow. The "stomach" takes up the majority of that space and aids in capturing and digesting fairly large prey. (The average mature Edwion can swallow a medium-sized animal
whole without much effort.)
Irrigation tubes are found everywhere inside an Edwion's body, winding around in order to keep water constantly flowing to its body parts. Two of these tubes are visible around the head- one attached to the shoulders and the other attached to the earlobes.
Any form an Edwion takes is a conscious decision, changing appearance by unfusing and refusing the fibers of their body to adapt to any given scenario.
None of this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for the Edwion and their exponential healing. They can survive any sort of damage and are almost entirely resistant to disease, expertly isolating illness to
one section of the body and letting the extremity fall off.
Edwion sometimes take very humanoid forms and can even develop detailed faces, but they do not have genitalia or nipples. Instead, their tails function as reproductive organs.
- Green tails produce unfertilized seeds and carry unborn Edwion, known as "edlings"
- Orange/yellow tails produce pollen
-It is less common, but Edwion can possess two different tails and even
reproduce asexually.
